The Lead Software Engineer, Service Now reports directly to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead Software Engineer, Service Now, you would be responsible for leading the design, development, and evolution of enterprise‑grade Service Now solutions with a strong focus on Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD).
This role requires a hands‑on who combines deep platform expertise, modern UX development and integration architecture to deliver scalable, secure, and business‑aligned Service Now solutions.
Responsibilities include working closely with the product management team to ensure we deliver the best user experiences.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Own the end‑to‑end Service Now implementation across HRSD.
- Design scalable, upgrade‑safe solutions aligned with Service Now best practices and enterprise standards.
- Lead technical design reviews and architecture governance
- Optimize customer experience using modern UI and AI‑assisted workflows
- Design & Architect Service Now Integrations using Integration hub and custom APIs
- Ensure data security, role‑based access, and compliance
- Platform adoption on new tools and technologies available by Service Now
- Lead adoption of Service Now AI capabilities
- Identify opportunities where AI meaningfully reduces manual effort and improves service outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to Business leaders, product owners & enterprise architect
- Influence roadmap planning, platform strategy, and prioritization decisions
- Promotes a supportive and collaborative teamwork environment across diverse groups
- Evaluates interdependencies; thinks critically / systemically when solving problems

- Advanced Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts)
- Flow Designer and advanced workflow orchestration
- Performance tuning, upgrade planning, and technical debt management

Education and Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 6+ years of hands‑on Service Now development and architecture experience
- Proven experience leading complex, enterprise‑scale Service Now implementations of HRSD
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
