You will lead and evolve learning experiences that support employees and people leaders at key moments that matter—from New Hire Orientation to manager development, team effectiveness, and broader learning programs that help LCers grow and perform at their best

As an early touchpoint for new employees, you will serve as a culture ambassador, helping bring Lending Club’s values and employee experience to life from day one. This role requires someone who can think strategically, execute independently, and collaborate cross-functionally to build scalable, high-impact learning solutions

What You'll Do

  • Lead learning experiences for employees, managers, and leaders across key moments in the employee lifecycle
  • Facilitate in-person New Hire Orientation in San Francisco, delivering an engaging onboarding experience that introduces employees to Lending Club’s culture and ways of working
  • Serve as a culture ambassador, ensuring learning experiences reflect and reinforce Lending Club’s values
  • Partner with leaders, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and deliver team development sessions, workshops, and learning solutions
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create practical, engaging learning content and curriculum
  • Develop tools and resources that support career growth, internal mobility, and manager capability
  • Support company events and employee programs through learning design and facilitation
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify capability gaps and inform program strategy
  • Measure program effectiveness using structured evaluation methods and apply insights to improve outcomes
  • Manage project plans, timelines, communications, and success metrics across multiple initiatives
  • Track and share program outcomes, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency across analysis, content creation, and learning strategy (applying Adult Learning principles)

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related People/HR roles
  • Proven success designing and delivering learning programs in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong expertise in instructional design, including frameworks such as ADDIE
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them in practice
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and using data and feedback to improve programs
  • Experience evaluating program effectiveness using surveys, focus groups, and performance metrics
  • Hands-on experience designing across modalities including e Learning, instructor-led training, and blended learning

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate your work and improve output quality. You're equally comfortable using them yourself and showing colleagues how, you see it as part of owning your domain, not just a nice-to-have. You're also thoughtful about limitations and where human judgment matters most
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, organizational development, HR, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have
