As an Entry Level Graphics Software Developer, you’ll work at the forefront of technology, developing critical training systems like the CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. Here, you’ll craft real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems including a submarine periscope simulation, a submarine bridge simulation, and a ship weapons simulation. This cutting-edge visual simulation is used in a variety of naval training and simulation systems, utilized throughout the US Navy. All software is developed in a Linux environment, and written in C++ and OpenGL, utilizing the Unreal graphics engine and various software packages.

Do you have an advanced degree or ongoing education in computer science, or a strong background in advanced math or physics? Ideal candidates bring expertise in areas of 3D Game Development, Visual Modeling and Simulation, VR/XR Development, multi-threading, GPU shader programming and optimization, and data visualization.

Required Education & Experience

• Education: B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Citizenship: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment).
• Skills: Some experience/education developing 3D graphics applications, in C++ utilizing low level APIs. Some experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems. Experience utilizing a graphics engine, like Unreal, Open Scene Graph, or similar.

Preferred Experience

• Education: Advanced degree, ongoing education in computer science, or an advanced math/physics background.
• Skills: Knowledge of basic CPU/GPU hardware as it relates to C++ and the PCI Bus, CPU, GPU and RAM optimization. Familiarity with high performance computing and general graphics hardware. Developing for Virtual Reality headsets.
• Tools: Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, Open Scene Graph or Vulkan Scene Graph engines.

Bonus Experience

• Tools: Experience with Nvidia Nsight or similar profiling tools. 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or similar modeling tools.
• Skills: Linux proficiency

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
