The Ethics & Business Integrity Intern will support the company’s enterprise ethics program, including administration of the ethics helpline, training and compliance initiatives, and company-wide ethics initiatives and outreach efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate ethics program operations, compliance communications, and governance processes within a large, matrixed organization.

The Intern will work closely with ethics professionals and gain exposure to internal investigation processes, training and compliance program administration, and enterprise-level ethics engagement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ethics Helpline and Investigations Support:

  • Assist with tracking and documenting helpline processes in accordance with established procedures.

  • Observe and learn about internal investigation processes, confidentiality protocols, and case management best practices.

Ethics Training and Compliance Support:

  • Assist in monitoring ethics and compliance training completion across the enterprise.

  • Support reporting and tracking of mandatory training requirements.

  • Help coordinate communications related to training deadlines and compliance reminders.

  • Contribute to updates of training materials and reference guides, as appropriate.

  • Document current compliance program workflows and propose automation ideas.

Ethics Outreach and Program Communications:

  • Assist in developing and organizing ethics awareness campaigns and outreach initiatives.

  • Support preparation of ethics communications, intranet content, and resource materials.

  • Help coordinate Ethics Week activities or other culture-building initiatives.

  • Conduct research on leading practices in corporate ethics, speak-up culture, and compliance program effectiveness.

Special Projects and Cross-Functional Exposure:

  • Support special projects related to ethics program enhancement and governance initiatives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Legal, Human Resources, Compliance, and other business functions as appropriate.

  • Assist in tracking program metrics and identifying trends to support continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and strong ethical judgment in handling sensitive information.

  • Develop FAQ documents and update Ethics and Business Integrity internal website content

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated interest in corporate ethics, compliance, governance, or organizational culture.

  • Strong project planning, analytical, research, and writing skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $41,600.00 - $75,200.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
