About the role

Leidos is seeking a CAD Drafter for our Long Beach, MS office. We are seeking a candidate to work with our engineering teams as we develop and produce cutting-edge solutions to challenging defense-related problems. As a CAD Drafter you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standards. Work is completed through computer-aided design equipment such as, AutoCAD and Solid Works. Duties include executing details of layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. Supervisors will assign and manage work of this type.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create Solid Works CAD models of custom and COTS parts and assemblies.
  • Create Solid Works 2D drawings of custom parts and assemblies.
  • Create AutoCAD drawings of cable diagrams, wiring schematics, and system diagrams.
  • Create new COTS items in PTC Windchill, including the assignment of AMLs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting or equivalent
  • U.S. Citizen – Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar 2D and 3D CAD tools
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Must work well with others and be able to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Average physical mobility to move around an office and lab environment.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working within PTC Windchill.
  • Proficiency and Experience using Solid Works and AutoCAD.
  • Certified Solid Works Associate or higher certification.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $40,300.00 - $72,850.00
