About the role

Leidos is seeking a contracts professional to join our Federal Civilian IT contracts team within the Digital Modernization Sector. This position is an individual contributor.

Remote candidate must be located within the greater Washington D.C. or Baltimore metro areas and able to support occasional in-person meetings at Leidos and customer sites within Washington D.C.

In this role as a Contracts Representative, you represent the “selling side” of the procurement interaction. This role will be responsible for a portfolio of task orders. Your primary objectives will be to build productive working relationships with internal and external customers, to negotiate changes where necessary, and to provide business recommendations and risk assessment regarding contract structure, clauses, requirements, proposals, and performance problem resolution.

In this role we are a critical formal, and informal, engagement point between Leidos and customer stakeholders. A successful Contracts Representative is self-motivated and enjoys learning about the entire business relationship, and how all the pieces fit together, to accomplish the program’s objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide task order coordination and related support services through task order execution.

  • Direct support of the onsite Leidos contracts manager supporting the FAA

  • Regularly interact with programs, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required.

  • Attend early capture sessions to determine specific information and requirements to apply the correct contracts skills, techniques, methods and resources for the group thus meeting Leidos’ as well as the customer’s expectations and objectives.

  • Develop or review prime contract flowdown documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and to minimize company liability

  • Support internal/external audit activities as well as data request from internal / external customers.

Basic Qualifications:

-Must be US Citizen

-Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Typically requires a BA degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience within FAA contracts with emphasis on proposal support.

  • Solid negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.

  • Must have experience with all contract types and a working knowledge of FAR/AMS.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with executive management and staff regarding

  • Ability to establish relationships internally and within the Leidos community.

  • Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and/or Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract types

  • Non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements

  • Analyzing and mitigating Organizational and Conflict of Interest (OCI) risk

  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with technical requirements and contractual agreements

  • Negotiating changes

  • Coordinating reviews and approvals in accordance with corporate policy and procedures

  • Soliciting and understanding information from many sources to solve problems using sound business judgments

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
