Lead Software QA Analyst
Lab Corp is seeking a Lead Software QA Analyst for a team in Durham or Burlington, NC.
Work Schedule: This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Job Responsibilities:

Senior QA resource for project teams providing solid technical leadership and support.

Communicate QA risks, milestones, and status to the Project Manager, project team and management.

Develop/collect/analyze/report quality statistics/metrics. Record and monitor through resolution all discovered defects/QA-related issues.

Mentor team members on QA processes, methods and tools.

Create/update/review (peer) test plans.
-
Manage test data - perform data analysis; define, maintain and organize input and output data; develop/maintain quality repositories to establish and assure quality data integrity.

Review/verify functional and system requirements and ensure project deliverables pass a stringent set of QA criteria and comply with the requirements prior to deployment.

Provide work/effort estimates for all testing activities.

Assist in the setup and maintenance of QA test environment and tools.

Maintain a relationship with all project stakeholders. Facilitate all quality related discussions during the project, including setting up the meetings.

Promote continuous improvement of QA job cycles and testing processes/procedures.

Improve test cycle duration with testing tools.

Create/update/review (peer)/execute manual and automated test cases/scripts, utilizing the most appropriate testing methodologies.

Demonstrate accountability in all assignments.

Develop/maintain procedures and work instructions for departmental processes as appropriate.

Availability after hours is needed for emergency situations and serves as a backup resource for on call team members.

Develop/maintain an on call rotation schedule.
-
Serves as backup for QA Manager/Director or Supervisor as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
6 or more years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance
-
4 or more years' experience in Mainframe system
-
3 or more years' experience in analyzing and researching errors from executed processes
Preferred Qualifications:
-
1 or more years' experience with Quality Center.
-
1 or more years' experience with MQ Series.
-
1 or more years' Clinical background experience.
-
2 or more years' Cobol Programming knowledge.
-
2 or more years' EZTrieve programming knowledge.
-
2 or more years' experience with Web Service utilities (ex. SOAP UI).
-
2 or more years' experience with Rexx programming.
-
2 or more years' experience with Jira/Confluence.
-
1 or more years' experience with automated testing tools.
-
2 or more years' experience with SQL tools and utilities.
-
2 or more years' experience with processing of VSAM related files.

Demonstrated testing skills and experience including all facets of the Software Lifecycle.

Creative problem solver who is extremely well organized and accustomed to maintaining meticulous records.

Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices & testing methodologies (including automated test processes).
Overview:
The Lead Software QA Analyst is responsible for identifying, planning and executing testing activities to promote patient safety, performance improvement initiatives and to ensure compliance according to regulatory statues, policies and procedures. As a member of the Quality Software group, the candidate provides testing support and QA reviews for multiple projects and products. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, process oriented and excited about new product creation and implementing robust QA processes and procedures.

Just quit Labcorp
I finally quit by walking out of my shift today :/ I worked for a outpatient Labcorp in a hospital there had been some instances of micromanagement and borderline bullying that I reported to my manager and for over a week our site coordinator and some co workers have been giving me the silent treatment, today i literally just had enough and clocked out.
