Labcorp is seeking a Senior Laboratory Assistant to join our Histology team in Indianapolis, IN.Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Job Responsibilities

¨ Responsible and accountable for successful completion of
specific department duties set forth in the task list and/or
department training checklist.
¨ Responsible for working with and directing less
experienced staff, and prioritizing workload and/or special
projects on a daily basis.
¨ Oversees and reviews work of peers.
¨ Oversees training of new employees to ensure completed as
scheduled.
¨ Independently coordinates the timely development and
completion of training materials, checklists, and competency
assessment programs. Seeks and promotes expertise in
department and across sites to ensure consistent approach to
training.
¨ Serves as an expert in all facets of trained workstations in
area of responsibility. Responds to problems or questions
of department staff.
¨ Reviews, revises, or writes laboratory SOPs. Consults
management on as-needed basis and keeps them
informed of progress.
¨ Independently introduces and develops improvement
ideas and helps the group with the implementation.
¨ Participates in teams and committees representing the lab
assistant group.
¨ Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree; experience may be substituted for education.
• 7 years of experience in a similar position, or 3
  years of Labcorp CLS experience in the
  laboratory

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related science field

  Excel, Power Point, etc.)

Pay Range:

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
