OLFACTIVE MARKETING MANAGER
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Levallois S62. Frequent meetings in Chevilly and Saint Ouen.
Scope: FRAGRANCE CROSS-CATEGORY GLOBAL (Main focus on beauty care (Skin care, hair care, Make up) Fine fragrance occasionally)
Your Mission :
Within the strategic Olfactive Market Intelligence and Fragrance Valorization department inside Metier Parfum at L’Oreal R&I, the Olfactive Marketing Manager holds a strategic position at the intersection of marketing & foresight. Your mission will be to decode tomorrow's olfactive trends and transform expert analysis into concrete growth opportunities across all our product categories (Skin, Hair mainly, and fine fragrance occasionally).
As an Olfactive Marketing Manager, you do more than just observe the market: you anticipate market shifts on a global scale.
You will work hand in hand with our internal Fragrance Design teams, our innovation team, as well as our external fragrance house partners to ensure the excellence and avant-garde nature of our team’s olfactive expertise.
You will have 2 key objectives in this role:
- Build market knowledge, olfactive decoding and co-shape a vision with the fragrance design team.
- Deploy and leverage Olfactive insights and key strategic thematic analysis.
For that, you will need to :
BUILD MARKET KNOWLEDGE, OLFACTIVE DECODING AND CO-SHAPE A VISION WITH THE FRAGRANCE DESIGN TEAM.
- Conduct active monitoring and contribute to fuel a strategic international competitive intelligence tracker on:
- Macro societal category shifts and their impact on olfactive aspirations
- Plural inspiring industries innovation
- Consumers' olfactive conversations and viral behaviors influencing the perfume industry
- Perfume industry on category new launches, key drivers, latest trends in positioning and benefits, best sellers.
- On strategic category business stakes, lead comprehensive olfactive analysis to uncover untapped value opportunities in partnership with the fragrance design team and occasionally our Fragrance house partners.
- Translate these insights into forward-looking olfactive inspiration and contribute to the vision alignment of your fragrance design team to meet evolving consumer expectations.
DEPLOY AND LEVERAGE OLFACTIVE INSIGHTS AND KEY STRATEGIC THEMATIC ANALYSIS.
- Lead knowledge deployment & conduct activation conferences and workshops with the fragrance design team, to partners and brands, to transform expert olfactive knowledge into tomorrow’s worldwide fragrance successes.
The ideal candidate :
- Fluent in English
- Passionate about fragrance & beauty
- Olfactive knowledge and expert language to decode and communicate olfactive trends
- Is visionary and effective at identifying, building, and communicating strategic competitive insights and mega trends
- Strong analytic skills (qualitative & quantitative information)
- Social media agile and consumer centricity, think from a consumer and fragtoker’s perspective, seeks to create high consumer value
- Advanced level of communication skills, powerful insights presentations, high sense of esthetics, impactful & strategic oral communication to wide audience & top management
- Team Player
- Excellent ability of cooperation & interacts efficiently with coworkers & manager, as well as partners in fragrance houses, and communication agencies.
- Ability to work in a complex, international & multidisciplinary environment
- Entrepreneurial and proactive, high sense of prioritization, organization & flexibility
