As a Data Scientist, you will join our Hair Color Development team in Clark, New Jersey, a central hub for innovation. You will play a key role in our digital transformation. You will not just "crunch numbers"; you will revolutionize how we design, measure, and deploy hair color technologies globally. Your mission is to turn complex raw data into actionable insights that accelerate product development and optimize color performance for the Consumer Products and Professional Products divisions.
A Day in the Life:
- Innovate with Data: Design and implement data-driven models and automation tools to streamline and optimize the hair color formulation and development process.
- Drive Automation Projects: Lead technical projects from concept to deployment, building robust data pipelines and automated systems to accelerate our research and innovation cycles.
- Collaborate and Influence: Partner with formulation chemists, lab managers, and global teams to understand their challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Analyze and Visualize: Interpret complex datasets to extract meaningful insights, creating dashboards and reports that guide strategic decisions for product development.
We Are Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s with 3-5 years of relevant experience in developing automation solutions and managing data-focused projects
- Field of Study: Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field
- A solid educational foundation in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in AI, data management, processing, visualization, and insight generation is essential.
- Proficiency in programming languages/data analysis tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, Spotfire, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and scientific stakeholders.
- Knowledge of color measurement and data a plus.
- The ability to be onsite, in the office, as this is an essential function of the position (required)
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future (required)

- Base Salary Range: $77,400 - $110,300 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
