With a strong interest in software development, your primary responsibility will be to design and build software aligned with Kuehne+Nagel’s strategic objectives. This role covers the full development lifecycle, including initial design, coding, testing, and implementation. How you create impact

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and implementation to demonstrations and final product delivery.
• Actively contribute as a member of the product team, identifying and proposing improvements to enhance the development process.
• Develop internal digital products using Java and Angular, writing clean, high-quality code and taking ownership of software quality and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate on the definition, specification, and design of modular, integrated software solutions, and design and implement automated tests to ensure reliability.
• Support the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

What we would like you to bring

• Experience working in small to medium-sized software development teams within an agile environment.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for IT, a willingness to support others, and the potential to grow into a mentoring role, combined with the ability to find pragmatic and innovative solutions that deliver business value.
• A strong desire for continuous personal and team development in a dynamic environment, fostering a no-blame culture, embracing learning through failure, and openly sharing ideas and opinions.
• An academic degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Several years of proven experience as a full-stack developer, with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Docker, Open Shift, Jenkins, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Git, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or Ng Rx is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of hexagonal architecture, Kafka, API gateways, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices is considered a strong plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
