The Safety Maintainer is responsible for ensuring all equipment, systems and work areas operate safely and comply with health and safety regulations. 

How you create impact

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies 
• Maintain accruate maintenance and safety records and documentation 
• Promote safe working practices and support a positive safety culture 
• Carry out servicing work and reports as required in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements for the inspection and maintenance of life and limb equipment
• Ensure the supervisor is made aware of spares requirements
• Ensure individual production targets are met
• Participate in audits, safety briefings, and continuous improvement activities
• Respond promptly to safety-related faults or emergencies 

What we would like you to bring

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accruate record keeping
• Basic IT skills for reporting, logging and compliance systems
• Ability to adapt to change
• Clear communication skills and confidence to challenge unsafe practices
• UK Driving licence preferred
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, standards, and safe systems of work
