How you create impact

The Head of Global Integrated Logistics Service Delivery India is a member of Global Integrated Logistics Management Team.
The Head of Global Integrated Logistics Service Delivery India is directly responsible for Control Tower Operations, Data Quality Engineering and Business Analytics services in India, furthermore this role enables the efficient and comfortable working environment for the other Integrated Logistics services and functions in India, namely Business Management, Solution & Business Development, Quality Management, Excellence Management, Continuous Improvement, Procurement, Network Engineering, Customer On-boarding and Software House.

The Global Integrated Logistics facility in India:

  • Ensure that the office facility is sufficient to accommodate Integrated Logistics staff of all departments in line with QSHE requirements.
  • Ensure that the office facility maintains the layout in line with Integrated Logistics branding concept.
  • Strategic planning of the facility expansion in line with Integrated Logistics growth plans.

People management & compliance:

  • Ensure the day-to-day management of all 4PL Control Tower, Data Quality Engineering and Business Analytics employees is carried out in accordance with HR guidelines (i.e., performance and salary reviews, holidays).
  • Lead and motivate the team members and actively support their professional development, skills, and experiences by executing regular performance review meetings.
  • Ensure that all employees successfully passed all required trainings.
  • Ensure all team members are working in accordance with current KN instructions, guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure quality compliance as per internal and external regulations and agreements.

The daily operations:

  • Maintaining Control Tower, Data Quality Engineering and Business Analytics organizational structure in line with global Integrated Logistics blueprint.
  • Making sure the employees in Control Tower are fully aware, understand and operating in accordance with related contracts, SOPs (Standard Operations Processes) and WIs (Working Instructions).
  • Making sure Data Quality Engineering services are provided in line with the corporate Integrated Logistics Data Quality Framework, in line with Kuehne + Nagel data security policy and GDPR.
  • Making sure Business Analytics services are provided in line with the corporate standards, using corporate Business Intelligence tools, in line with Kuehne + Nagel data security policy and GDPR.
  • Driving high customer satisfaction for Control Tower Operations, Data Quality Engineering and Business Analytics services.
  • Control of KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) for his / her area of responsibility and achievement of agreed performance levels, applying Integrated Logistics global standard performance management framework.

Process efficiency & landing digital services:

  • Develop and drive strategies to reduce costs and to increase efficiency.

  • Maintaining Cost driver models (CDMs) according to latest state of operations, conducting internal and external Value Stream mapping sessions, identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Supporting landing of digital road map services into daily Control Tower operations, ensuring efficient change management.

  • Cost control & cost management

  • Ensuring transparency and auditability of the operating cost calculation in India, contribution to setting up and regular review of LMS (logistics management services).

  • Ensure that the assigned P/Ls are well managed and in accordance with set targets.

  • Support internal and external audits in his/her department.

Cross-functional collaboration:

  • Take an active role in the meetings with Business Management and all other Integrated Logistics functions, Customers and Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and other parties, as appropriate.
  • Support the definition and implementation of processes for new customers or services.
  • Support business & solutions development teams with providing guidance on the operational solutions, aligning on feasibility of operational set-up proposed for new Integrated Logistics customers.

GDP / GXP Compliance:

  • Compliance and realization of the pharma & healthcare standards of all activities in their full entity by considering the relevant GDP requirements and guidelines, customer demands and all internal regulations of the KN – Integrated Logistics organization.
  • Adhere to KN Product standards such as e.g.

KN Pharma Chain:

  • Compliance with required customer quality standards
  • Adhere to the WHO GDP guidelines (Technical report series) and EU guidelines latest versions.

Additional tasks:

  • execute additional tasks delegated by his/her line management,
  • follow the instructions of the supervisor and to carry out other instructions of the supervisor than those mentioned above, provided that they are in accordance with the law, ethical standards, health and safety and fire regulations, and environmental protection, and as long as they do not exceed the employee's qualifications,
  • read and comply with the Work Regulations and other regulations applicable at the Employer as well as health, safety & fire protection regulations.
  • respect company’s confidentiality & compliance regulations (e.g., Code of Conduct, QSHE),
  • protect personal data from unauthorized access, unwarranted modification or destruction, illegal disclosure or acquisition to an extent appropriate to the employee's tasks of processing personal data or when processing personal data.

What we would like you to bring

  • Formal education in logistics with a very good understanding of the forwarding business, graduated in Transportation and/or Logistics and post-graduated MBA
  • Solid experiences in all transportation modes is an advantage,
  • At least 10 years experiences in various Integrated Logistics (4PL) roles, as well as people management ability to motivate and lead people also under pressure,
  • Very good time management skills, ability to delegate and very good communication skills,
  • Process driven, very good (self-) organization skills,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Highly customer focused,
  • Ability to fulfil critical tasks in time, to keep deadlines and to set priorities,
  • Reliable, flexible where needed and extremely motivated,
  • Very accountable and target oriented,
  • Willingness to assume responsibility, to learn and to adopt new processes,
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%,
  • Fluent (written and verbal) in English, a second language is an advantage,
  • Knowledge of and adherence to quality standards (such as QSHE or GXP),
  • Understand and respect the company confidentiality and compliance regulations (e.g., Code of Conduct).
