As a IT Systems Engineer working with Solution Architects and functional teams you will ensure the smooth and efficient configure, test, train and implementation of solutions that fulfil the needs of the customer. Utilizing your WMS knowledge and experience you contribute to solution delivery across the project lifecycle.

Tasks and result areas (Main tasks and responsibilities of the position)

•    Stay current with the latest functional and technical capabilities of the Blue Yonder (BY) application and the KN SwiftLOG platform—including architecture, configuration options, APIs, and customization features—to identify software solutions that meet specific business needs.
•    Perform EDI Paper Mapping and Design technical message flow between WMS and Customer system as well as Automation Systems.
•    Perform unit testing of developed components based on detailed designs, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
•    Liaise with stakeholders to fully understand and clarify business and technical requirements.
•    Conduct detailed design activities and provide stakeholders with the necessary documentation to support go/no-go decisions.
•    Identify the appropriate technical stack for proposed solutions, seeking approval when non-standard approaches are considered.
•    Configure WMS to meet design specifications and recommend best practices where applicable.
•    Perform System Integration testing closely working with Customer as well as Automation vendor.
•    Ensure all implemented components adhere to detailed design specifications and established best practices.
•    Validate successful deployment of implemented solutions before making them available to stakeholders.
•    Provide all mandatory documentation to support the implemented solution.
•    Ensure all deliverables comply with KN Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
•    Use monitoring and profiling tools such as MOCA Console and Trace Analyzer to proactively detect, isolate, and resolve issues.
•    •    Conduct root cause analysis on testing defects and implement appropriate resolutions.
•    •    Apply a continuous improvement mindset to all activities, actively seeking feedback from peers and stakeholders.
•    •    Identify opportunities to improve development processes and tooling to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
•    •    Develop a solid understanding of integration methods with external systems such as WCS (Warehouse Control Systems).
•    •    Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular updates on progress and issues.
•    •    Work independently or collaboratively within cross-functional teams to contribute to project success.
•    •    Collaborate with both functional and technical stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project and operational issues.
•    •    Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support for their development..

Core competencies:

•    Degree educated in a Computer Science or related field
•    Domain knowledge in WMS solutions preferable.
•    Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS / Discrete experience required. 
•    Experience of BY technology stack - MOCA Components, MTF, DDA/Pagebuilder, Reports and labels, WebUI, Integrator.
•    Experience in SAP Business Intelligence, SQL is preferred.
•    A software house, consultancy or project delivery background
•    Strong problem-solving skills – experience of resolving complex technical or functional issues.
•    Experience of understanding complex requirements and shaping into solutions.
•    Strong communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to articulate technical issues and solutions with key stakeholders at all levels.
•    Understanding of SDLC processes, ideally agile, and have a good experience on requirement analysis, design and implementation.
•    Ability to self-manage deliverables and deliver to deadlines
•    Great attitude and commitment to get the job done
