It's more than a job

In this IT role, you will manage, develop, and support the technology infrastructure that powers Kuehne+Nagel’s global systems and operations. This contribution is vital to making both special and ordinary moments in the lives of people a reality. In fact, your work enables our teams to deliver fresh fruit, time-sensitive healthcare products and much more to people all around the world. Working in IT at Kuehne+Nagel contributes to more than we imagine.

As a Python Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d), you will develop and maintain production-ready data systems, ensure high code quality, and occasionally contribute to frontend components. You will be part of our transformation journey, growing with the team and helping improve both our products and how our solutions work.

How you create impact

  • Design, build, and maintain data services and pipelines using Python.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and IAM) for deployment and hosting.
  • Work closely with data scientists to bring models and tools into production.
  • Ensure quality through automated testing and code reviews.
  • Maintain high software quality and long-term maintainability.
  • Help improve our development processes and tools on an ongoing basis.

What we would like you to bring

  • 3+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
  • Strong Python skills, with an emphasis on clean, testable, and production-ready code.
  • Experience using AWS or a comparable cloud platform (IaaS/PaaS).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and testing frameworks.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data pipelines, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect), Kafka, and basic BI tools is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with data scientists and analysts, with exposure to ML/DS workflows and some frontend development using Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks, is a plus.
  • Agile, self-organized team player with strong communication skills and openness to pair or mob programming.
  • Growth-oriented mindset, open to feedback and continuous learning, with fluent written and spoken English.

What's in it for you

You will have a direct influence on the future of logistics and IT. Your colleagues are experts who shape the IT industry in Portugal and worldwide. We want you to feel comfortable in your working surroundings. Therefore, we are offering you flexible working hours and mobile working arrangements. We value teamwork, continuous learning, and diversity. Kuehne+Nagel offers you a custom-made career – through individual planning and supervisors who support and advise you in every way.
