As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. You will be part of our Contract Logistics team adding your leadership expertise and skills to the delivery of Operational Excellence.

How you create impact

You will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational site in order to achieve all agreed financial and operational objectives. The activities needed to deliver these objectives include:

• To manage, plan, organize, staff, + direct warehouse activities at the site.
• To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service + profit.
• To ensure your teams deliver against their customer, site + people KPI.
• To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence by collaborating at a site level.
• To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring your site meets or exceeds it’s productivity targets.
• To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.
• To oversee the safe operation of warehousing activities across the site, ensuring the correct skills + training are in place + are compliant with health/safety/environment legislation + standards.

What we would like you to bring

• Minimum of 2 years and up to 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at a basic level (e.g., data entry, formatting, simple formulas).Vlook Up / Pivot)

• Proven experience in managing and leading a team effectively.

• Willingness to take on challenges and work on-site or in the field most of the time.

• Flexible working hours with the ability to remain on standby after regular working hours.
