Jobs
It's more than a job
When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.
We are looking for a Sea Logistics Sales Representative to play a key role within our commercial teams and Customer Care Locations, focusing on acquiring new customers—particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—and developing new business opportunities in FCL and LCL. Through close collaboration with the Sea Logistics Customer Care team, this role is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer focus and an outstanding client experience, both essential to the success of Kuehne+Nagel’s Roadmap and Vision.
How you create impact
Prospect and acquire new clients: Identify potential customers through internal and external sources, proactively reaching out via multiple channels (cold calls, social media, virtual and in-person meetings) to build strong, trust-based relationships.
Manage and develop a strong sales pipeline: Build and maintain a robust flow of prospects and opportunities to meet individual and company growth objectives, accurately recording account potential and activities in Kuehne+Nagel’s CRM.
Act as a trusted logistics consultant: Advise clients on sea freight market trends and design integrated FCL and LCL solutions using Kuehne+Nagel’s maritime services and digital platform.
Coordinate pricing, quotations, and implementation: Prepare quotations in collaboration with internal teams and pricing tools, align pricing decisions with the Customer Care Location Manager, and support the successful onboarding and expansion of new business.
Monitor performance and foster collaboration: Track volumes (booked, shipped, invoiced) using sales visibility tools, share market and customer insights with internal stakeholders, and collaborate closely with Sea Logistics Sales and Customer Care teams to achieve productivity and incentive plan targets.
What we would like you to bring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust-based relationships, clearly articulate value propositions, and influence decision-making with clients and internal teams.
Intermediate–Advanced English proficiency: Confidently communicate with international customers and stakeholders, supporting negotiations and cross-border collaboration.
Proven sales experience with a strong hunting mindset: Demonstrated success in attracting new clients, identifying opportunities, and converting prospects into long-term customers.
Strong new customer acquisition skills: Proactive approach to lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
Solid experience and strong knowledge of sea freight: Deep understanding of the maritime business (FCL/LCL), enabling the delivery of tailored, competitive logistics solutions.
Customer-centric and results-driven mindset: Focus on understanding customer needs, delivering value, and driving sustainable growth through long-term partnerships.
