Utility Specialist

Job Description

• Supervises, coordinates, and monitors utility plant activities; maintains equipment and performs related duties to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of boilers, WTP, WWTP, Power Room, Compressor, Chiller, Cooling Tower and Genset.
• Oversees operation of plant domestic water systems in accordance with law and effects changes as directed by qualified Water Systems Operators; supervises routine steam, water and condensate systems analysis and chemical treatment of industrial water systems.
• Coordinate activities and programs with those of other divisions in Engineering.
• Daily reporting to maintenance manager related duties.
• Uses a computer to create, compose, and edit technical and/or administrative correspondence, reports, operating procedures, and documentation.
• Plans, schedules, and monitors all work being performed by contractors and physical plant employees within area of responsibility.
• Ensures proper documentation of operations activities or incident reports.
• Comply with all established GMP, HACCP guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures.
• Responsible for the implementation of FSSC 22000 in the plant area.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule to work with employees from all shifts as required.
• Works overtime as necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
