At Kraft Heinz, our Sales team is committed to being the Most Indispensable Partner to our Customers. We are seeking a highly driven Senior Customer Retail Manager (Sr. CRM) to lead the Lunds & Byerlys business and serve as the primary field-based representative for Kraft Heinz within this strategic regional account.
This role goes beyond traditional retail execution. The Sr. CRM will be responsible for leading customer relationships, driving business growth, recovering distribution opportunities, improving execution, and serving as a trusted advisor to both the customer and internal teams. The successful candidate will combine strong selling skills, analytical capabilities, category knowledge, and relationship-building expertise to deliver profitable growth across the Kraft Heinz portfolio.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Customer Leadership & Business Development:
- Own and develop relationships with Lunds & Byerlys buyers, category managers, merchandising teams, and store leadership.
- Serve as the day-to-day face of Kraft Heinz with responsibility for strengthening customer partnerships and identifying growth opportunities.
- Lead customer business reviews, assortment discussions, distribution opportunities, and promotional planning conversations.
- Influence customer decision-making through data, insights, and category expertise.
Business Growth & Recovery:
- Develop and execute account-specific growth strategies focused on improving sales, distribution, share, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to recover lost distribution, close voids, improve shelf placement, and secure incremental merchandising support.
- Drive innovation launches, assortment expansion, and promotional effectiveness.
- Proactively identify risks and develop action plans to improve business performance.
Retail Execution Excellence:
- Ensure execution of customer agreements, promotions, displays, and merchandising programs.
- Partner closely with agency teams to deliver best-in-class retail execution.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and validate execution standards.
- Monitor pricing, shelf conditions, competitive activity, and category trends.
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with account management, category leadership, revenue management, shopper marketing, supply chain, and sales leadership to develop customer solutions.
- Provide customer insights and marketplace feedback to influence business decisions.
- Champion customer needs internally while balancing Kraft Heinz business objectives.
Expected Experience & Required Skills
- Experience working with grocery retailers or regional chains.
- Experience managing underperforming or turnaround businesses.
- Category management or assortment planning experience.
- Experience utilizing Circana, Nielsen, retailer POS, or syndicated data.
- Previous field sales, retail execution, or customer headquarters experience.
- Knowledge of merchandising, shelf strategy, and retail operations.
Due to customer connectivity requirements, this position must be based in the Minneapolis, MN area.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$77,800.00 - $97,300.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
