We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join our Manufacturing team based out of Seven Hills, New South Wales, Australia! This is a hands on role with visible leadership on the production floor.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • To ensure maintenance procedures and all equipment meet product safety requirements and meet the safety of all personnel. Ensure all OH&S and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Plan, lead, organise and control the Engineering teams so that they meet company goals and standards

  • Regularly review Engineering budget and control monthly spending

  • Preventative and planned maintenance Scheduling

  • Manage and/or assist with capital projects, monitoring Investments, ensuring justification, request, implementation and reporting assisting vertical start-ups.

  • Maintain a highly skilled, competent and motivated workforce

  • Manage engineering systems, processes and documentation to ensure nominated standards are adhered to and maintained

  • Ensure optimum energy/water consumption at factory level, by implementing proper maintenance activities to the factory assets

  • Ensure all utilities are adequate to meet the needs of production requirements. All utilities that come in contact with product are treated according to the food safety criteria of the product and processes.

  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental,

  • Uphold the Kraft Heinz values and to work in a way that contributes to the company’s vision

About you:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) mandatory.

  • Strong communication and delegation skills with proven people and performance management.

  • Strategic thinker who translates strategy into execution; experienced in project management.

  • Skilled in CAPEX and maintenance budget management and operational maintenance activities.

  • Lean Manufacturing practitioner with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong analytical skills with effective prioritization.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S and EPA regulations and systems; successful leadership of semi-autonomous teams.

  • Direct reports that include team members from maintenance and project engineering.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia – with full working rights.
