SCD Project Manager Packaging Regulation at Kraft Heinz
About the role
Job Description
About the position
We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Project Manager to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Project Manager Packaging regulation role lies within the European Supply Chain Development team. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The planning and delivery of packaging projects to comply with European regulation will be your primary responsibility. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within Europe.
You are responsible for:
1. Portfolio scoping & pre-feasibility (first months; primary focus):
o Pre-feasibility assessments: Rapidly assess feasibility, time requirements, complexity, key assumptions, and major constraints (technical, operational, supplier, quality, compliance, timing) to enable prioritization and go/no-go decisions. This includes milestones, resources needs and CAPEX/OPEX estimates.
o Options development & trade-offs: Build and compare solution pathways (e.g., packaging design changes, material shifts, supplier changes, manufacturing adjustments), including high-level cost/benefit, timelines, risks, and implementation implications.
o Portfolio prioritization & roadmap: Propose a pragmatic roadmap aligned to regulatory deadlines and business priorities, including sequencing, critical path, and capacity planning across Supply Chain and cross-functional teams.
o Governance and decision preparation: Drive structured stakeholder decision-making (steerco inputs, presentations, alignment on scope, assumptions, and constraints) to move initiatives into detailed feasibility/execution.
2. Detailed project feasibility & execution (after scoping is completed):
o End-to-end project delivery: Lead high/medium complexity packaging regulation projects through detailed feasibility, business case, planning, execution, and closure—ensuring compliance, delivery, and value outcomes.
o Integrated plan management: Own project plans (i.e. scope, timeline, budget), manage dependencies across projects, and proactively resolve blockers to protect regulatory timelines and business needs.
o Value and performance management: Track delivery against agreed KPIs (including portfolio value contribution where applicable), managing cost, service, and operational impacts during implementation.
3.
Other Responsibilities:
o Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Heads of Pod, peers, BUs, and senior leadership, to gather input, secure buy-in, and drive alignment on project priorities and objectives. Be considered as an important sparring partners for other cross-functional Pod members, including the Head of Pod.
o Supply Chain Representation: Be the voice of Supply Chain in packaging related topics and ensure all your projects are feasible from an efficient supply chain execution perspective.
o Expert Engagement: Identify opportunities to bring in other SC experts, such as those specializing in demand forecasting, supply management, or engineering, to provide additional support and expertise as needed.
o (SC) Collaboration: Bring together SC, operations and manufacturing stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and support for implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
o Fostering continuous learning: Support in training the organization in project management by sharing knowledge with (junior) team members and colleagues outside the function. This includes mentoring, training, creating resources, and promoting best practices to enhance project management skills across the organization.
