Are you a food safety / science graduate looking to grow your career in Food Safety Quality? We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a FSQ Technician to join our Food Safety team based out of our Seven Hills, Australia site!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Identify and report on potential and actual food safety and quality risks that may arise during daily production.

  • Perform GMP production line audits and other FSQ audits.

  • Provide technical support to production teams

  • Conduct HACCP reviews, internal audits and performance monitoring activities to schedule and report results

  • Review production records and documentation to ensure positive release of finished products

  • Report any non-conformances of raw materials, packaging and finished product.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

  • Other duties as assigned by the FSQ Lead

  • Relieve the other FSQ team members for leave and other work priorities (day shift/afternoon shift)

  • Assist in cleaning and sanitation verification activities

  • Reviewing CofA’s and releasing raw materials

  • Managing retention samples

About you:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and influence stakeholders with facts.

  • Decision making ability on product quality and ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with quality risk assessment and food safety exposure

  • Proficient level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PPT)

  • Proficient level of personal integrity and sense of right and wrong

  • Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
