We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Manufacturing team based out of our Wagga Wagga (NSW) site!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Performance improvement responsibilities for the processes in a defined area(s).

  • Coaches and trains operators in continuous improvement principles including basic problem solving, Defect handling, Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL), Centre lining, OSCAR.

  • Implementation of warehouse management system & continuous improvement processes.

  • Gathers and analyses performance data to assist with the development of KPI and loss trees.

  • Identifies variances to targets and develops plans for performance in safety, quality, equipment reliability, waste reduction, productivity and efficiencies.

  • Facilitates and drives continuous improvement activities within a department or portion through Root Cause Analysis, PDCA and lean / six sigma methodologies.

  • Drives safety and quality improvement through operator and process capability.

  • KPI and Loss tree analysis.

  • Ensures daily, weekly and monthly improvement in productivity, efficiency and unit cost.

  • Data collection & analysis and delivering continuous improvement for the processes.

About you:

  • Degree-level qualification in Engineering preferred, with some practical experience in a food manufacturing / FMCG environment (preferred)

  • Technical knowledge of end-to-end food manufacturing, including multiple preservation processes.

  • Capable trainer and group facilitator; able to coach operators and management and to write SOPs, Work Instructions and One‑Point Lessons.

  • Excellent problem-solving, planning and organisational skills; proven ability to lead cross-functional CI initiatives.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and flexibility to work across shifts.

  • Effective communicator and collaborator, experienced working with teams cross functionally on-site.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
