Job Description

Job Purpose

Analyst III serves as a critical resource for the GBS team, driving efficiency in planogram (POG) creation, validation, and execution to support Kraft Heinz’s category leadership strategies. This role ensures consistency and accuracy in POG imaging, design, and implementation while leveraging automation to streamline processes and enhance scalability.

The POG Analyst supports strategic and non-strategic customer models by tailoring POG solutions to customer needs, whether high-touch customization, agile adaptability, or standardized execution. By integrating expertise in JDA software and automation, the POG Analyst plays a pivotal role in building the POGs aligning operational excellence with customer objectives.

In addition to planogram execution, this role supports Category Insights & Analytics by translating data into actionable recommendations that drive assortment, space optimization, and category growth. The Analyst III partners with Category Leadership and Sales teams to deliver data-driven insights that align shelf strategy with business performance objectives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain the POG imaging database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Format POG images to GS1 Res format to meet industry standards and customer requirements
  • Build POGs in JDA across all versions, tailoring designs for specific customer needs and channels
  • Utilize Shelf IQ (or other related retailer tools) to automate common POG adjustments and retailer-specific requirements to streamline workflows
  • Develop and implement efficient POG solutions for non-strategic accounts and customized strategies for strategic accounts working in accordance with the Lead and CL Advisors.
  • Align POG layouts with category and shelving principles, ensuring compliance with strategic merchandising goals
  • Proof and validate POGs to ensure accuracy, addressing errors and resolving issues related to customer submissions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and retailers to upload/download POGs into customer systems and manage related automation processes
  • Convert POGs between JDA PSA and PDF formats as required by customer or internal needs
  • Create and implement retailer-specific POG automation solutions, integrating customer feedback and best practices
  • Populate post-reset analysis templates with data insights, including POG compliance metrics, SoS performance, and assortment effectiveness
  • Partner with insights analyst team and category leadership teams to align POG strategies with broader business objectives
  • Analyze syndicated and internal sales data to identify category trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities
  • Support assortment optimization and space productivity analysis using fact-based insights
  • Develop category performance dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs
  • Provide insights to support customer line reviews and category business planning
  • Translate analytics into clear recommendations for Category Leadership and Sales stakeholders
  • Conduct pre- and post-POG implementation performance analysis to measure impact
  • Identify automation opportunities in reporting and insight generation processes

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • 7-9 years of experience in Space planning, Planogram development and Category Analytics
  • Min 4-5 years of experience using JDA Space planning tool.
  • Proficient in using Excel, Power Point, word.
  • Experience in FMCG or related industries preferably in the US Market.
  • Familiarity with shared service models and integration into POG processes.
  • Knowledge of retailer-specific systems and standard requirements for POG submissions
  • Experience using POG automation tools such as Shelf IQ within JDA
  • Experience in formatting POG images to GS1 Res standards
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining and validating POG imaging and execution
  • Ability to align POG strategies with broader category principles, ensuring compliance with shelving standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective solutions
  • Strong experience in analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI/Circana) and internal sales data
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable category and space recommendations
  • Experience supporting customer line reviews, assortment optimization, and shelf strategy decisions
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and PowerPoint storytelling
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience in conducting pre- and post-reset performance analysis
  • Ability to interpret space productivity metrics (sales per sq. ft., ROS, SKU productivity, etc.)
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, with experience supporting US-based commercial teams
  • Understanding of category management principles and retail math fundamentals

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated excellence in JDA software, including experience with building POGs, and data conversion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on resolving POG-related challenges
  • Experience with advanced automation tools such as Shelf IQ.
  • Experience with Alteryx for POG data preparation.
  • Experience with Power Bi or any data related tools.
  • Experience with post reset data analytics tools such as Spotlight
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and analysis
  • Experience integrating planogram strategy with category performance analytics
  • Exposure to automation and dashboard development (Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience building customer-ready insight decks and executive-level presentations
  • Familiarity with assortment rationalization frameworks and space elasticity concepts
  • Experience working in a shared services / GBS model supporting global stakeholders
  • Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities in analytics workflows
  • Exposure to post-implementation impact measurement and ROI analysis
  • Strong business storytelling skills — ability to simplify complex analytics into clear recommendations
