Group/Division
The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the interpretation of complex storyboards and service procedures to design highly immersive and interactive 3D experiences.
- Drive optimization strategies for 3D CAD models to ensure superior performance and scalability of holographic and XR applications.
- Oversee the creation and processing of advanced animations using industry-leading 3D software tools.
- Manage end-to-end content development, including 3D assets, ensuring adherence to quality standards and XR device compatibility.
- Facilitate and lead cross-regional stakeholder meetings to align on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Independently prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely execution with minimal supervision.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Innovate and implement process improvements, introducing new tools and techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Actively contribute to strategic planning for XR initiatives and provide technical leadership in solution design.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status to Manager and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Required Tools Proficiency
Experience with any of the following tools (or similar) is crucial:
- CAD & 3D Modeling: Creo Parametric, Solid Works, PiXYZ
- Illustration & Animation: 3D Studio Max, Maya, Creo Illustrate, Blender,
- AR/VR Development: Vuforia Studio, Unity, Microsoft 365 Guides, unreal
- Hardware: Any AR/VR wearable devices
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 8–15 years in AR/VR design or related field, with proven leadership in managing complex projects.
- Extensive hands-on experience with CAD applications and developing 3D assets for XR and desktop applications.
- Expertise in creating interactive experiences and optimizing models for performance at scale.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide cross-functional teams.
Key Skills (Senior Level)
- Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling, animation workflows, and XR content development.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to drive innovation and process improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence decision-making at senior levels.
