Job Description: About the Position:

HPE-Networking is seeking a motivated and technically strong Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to product management and go-to-market activities for the Routing Infrastructure Solutions (RIS) and Automation product portfolio. This role focuses on enabling sales teams, supporting product direction with customer and market insights, and contributing to technical collateral and demos. The TME will work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to help drive adoption of HPE-Juniper network automation solutions.

This is an individual contributor role suited for someone who is hands‑on, collaborative, and eager to grow their expertise in automation, DevOps, and service providers and enterprises networking.

What you'll do: Responsibilities:

  • Support technical enablement through creation of technical collateral including architecture slides, solution briefs, white papers, and demo documentation.
  • Deliver technical sessions, webinars, and training to internal teams and customers.
  • Build and maintain Proof‑of‑Concept lab setups and demos for Automation solutions; ensure reproducibility for field teams.
  • Contribute to competitive analysis efforts with guidance from senior TMEs and product management.
  • Participate in customer engagements to gather technical requirements and share insights with engineering and PLM.
  • Identify gaps in product capabilities based on customer use-case validation.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support go‑to‑market activities.
  • Support participation in industry events or working groups.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on DevOps/AIOps‑related workflows, automation pipelines, and integration points.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling (primarily in Python).

What you need to bring: Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in networking, preferably in Service Provider or large‑scale Enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking, MPLS/SR, routing & switching, and associated SP architectures.
  • Strong hands‑on Python experience (required) for automation, tooling, and data processing.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, version control, and automation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AIOps concepts, telemetry, observability, and data‑driven operational workflows.
  • Exposure to network automation fundamentals and operational challenges in SP/Enterprise networks.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one major vendor platform (Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Arista). JUNOS experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Technical Marketing, Sales Engineering, or Consulting Engineering with focus on network automation.
  • Certifications such as JNCIP, CCNP (JNCIE/CCIE considered a plus).
  • Experience with SP and Enterprises use cases.
  • Go or Puppet programming/automation experience (nice to have).
  • Exposure to telemetry systems, observability frameworks, or data analytics pipelines.
