As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Capital Regulatory Reporting team, you lead multiple teams to deliver technology solutions that support business objectives. You guide technical direction, foster collaboration, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You help shape a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You play a key role in driving the firm’s regulatory reporting programs.

Job responsibilities

• Guides software engineering teams on daily tasks and activities
• Sets expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and ensures work aligns with compliance standards and service level agreements
• Delivers solutions that adhere to business requirements and tactical best practices
• Drives improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to engineering communities of practice and explores new technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience
• Ten years experience leading technology projects
• Seven years experience managing technologists
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience
• Expertise in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
