As an Executive Director in International Private Bank Operations team, you will lead our regulatory reporting agenda and set the pace for operational rigor and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely reporting while strengthening controls and fostering a culture of accountability and inclusion. Together, we innovate, simplify processes, and elevate standards so our clients and communities can rely on us with confidence.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the IPB Operations leadership team and act as a trusted advisor on all aspects of regulatory reporting and related operational matters, providing strategic direction and insight.
- Develop and execute a forward-looking regulatory reporting strategy that aligns with the bank’s local obligations and global business objectives, risk appetite, and growth ambitions.
- Oversee the end-to-end regulatory reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness in production, and compliance with all relevant local and international regulations (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR).
- Proactively identify future regulatory trends and preparing the organization for change.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk) to drive regulatory change initiatives, influence strategic priorities, and ensure seamless integration of regulatory requirements into operational processes.
- Collaborate with business partners across various departments to identify and deliver opportunities for operational efficiency, process improvements, and automation in regulatory reporting, supporting the bank’s long-term strategic goals.
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team, including objective setting, performance management, coaching, career progression, and training, with a focus on building future leadership and strategic capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, vendors, and third-party service providers, representing the bank’s strategic interests in regulatory matters.
- Stay up to date with evolving regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the bank’s regulatory reporting remains robust, competitive, and compliant, and to inform strategic decision-making at the senior leadership level.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive experience leading Banking Operations teams, with a primary focus on regulatory reporting within Private Banking or Wealth Management Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans for regulatory reporting and operational excellence.
- Deep understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and frameworks relevant to private banking (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, and other global regulations).
- Strong knowledge of the Operations ecosystem and regulatory technology solutions, with the ability to assess and implement strategic enhancements.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a team, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and innovation.
- Demonstrated expertise in banking regulations, compliance requirements, and regulatory change management, with a strategic approach to risk mitigation and business enablement.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational and regulatory issues, and to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
- Experience in managing operational teams with empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize operational efficiency, while contributing to the bank’s broader strategic agenda.
