As a Trade Support Analyst for CMBS within the Securitized Products Group members of the team will work with a wide array of internal teams and outside vendors to facilitate the purchase, sale, and securitization of commercial real estate loans. As an analyst the primary responsibilities will include timely and accurate processing of transactions for the Commercial Real Estate front office team, monitoring and performing various controls, and liaising with internal teams to ensure proper booking of the loans. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the mortgage loan life cycle from origination to securitization, the analysis of mortgage loans, and will work with management and technology on process improvement. You will work closely with clients, trading desks, senior management, technology, audit, finance and transaction management in the day-to-day operation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the loans throughout their lifecycle, booking the appropriate transactions.
  • Review of legal documents to ensure loan details are input correctly.
  • Perform control reconciliations between various internal systems to confirm accurate trading positions and perform root cause analysis on breaks
  • Produce management metrics
  • Complete operations projects and ad hoc requests to satisfy new initiatives and operations/technology enhancements
  • Communicate with front office, management, clients and other internal departments to support clients, resolve issues and respond to inquiries
  • Engage directly with clients in regards to loan remittances and invoicing

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Basic understanding of accounting and loan financing concepts
  • Highly organized, extremely detailed and control orientated
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast paced/high pressure environment
  • PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated and demonstrated leadership abilities)
  • Effective communication skills with ability to explain loan concepts to clients
