As a Payments Regulatory Operations Analyst in the Payments Regulatory Reporting Execution and Delivery team, you will support our Payments business operating in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Italy, France and Spain. You will create, receive, review, scrutinise and submit regulatory reports to regulators. This will give you the opportunity to explore and showcase your flair and talent – whether that being analysis of data, improving of processes and controls or managing stakeholders. The role forms part of a much wider Global Payments Regulatory Reporting organization that consists of more than 200 people – an organization with a enthusiasm to go on a journey to incrementally improve everything we do.
Job responsibilities
- Create and co-ordinate regulatory reports, scrutinize the data and submit to regulators
- Drive ways to improve controls without adding layers of bureaucracy
- Develop your knowledge of ‘why’ we are doing reports and ‘how’ regulators use the data
- Partner with and manage expectations of partners including Ops peers, Controls, Technology, Compliance
- Ensure all processes and controls are documented clearly
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Knowledge about payments
- Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, coupled with an appreciation that a controlled, methodical approach often leads to more effective and timely outcomes
- Confidence to ask difficult questions and challenge the status quo
- Ability to not just find a problem but to suggest, articulate and implement solutions
- Authenticity but balanced with appropriate diplomacy
- Accountability and integrity to own mistakes but views them positively as an opportunity to improve
- The following terms fill you with intrigue rather than intimidation: PSD2, SEPA, Wires, pacs.008, pacs.009, Volumes & Values, PSP, PISP, AISP, ASPSP, AML, etc.
- Can look at data in a spreadsheet, analyze it and find common themes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Background in Payments and/or Regulatory Reporting
