Duties: Modernize legacy code to modernize platforms and implement new, bespoke features for market making and e Trading systems. Drive in-person support and technical training for the team. Interpret and implement regulatory items that require technical fixes. Maintain responsibility for internal and external audit requests on operational and technical processes associated with trading support applications. Perform peer code and design reviews for trading-related features. Assist with training new joiners on system architecture. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to JPMC Sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, Technical Architect, System Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, Technical Architect, System Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: developing interactive financial software utilizing Eclipse RCP or Java Swing; utilizing PostgreSQL database design and performance tuning; developing robust and scalable client-facing applications using Java. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: developing and deploying robust and scalable Java microservices applications using AWS ECS. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: using the Java Native Interface (JNI) to call C# or .NET based DLLs; using Spring Boot to build and deploy microservices with embedded server support; developing and performing unit and integration testing using Spring MVC; using JAXB for XML data binding; optimizing database design and query performance by using SQL in Oracle, Sybase, and PostgreSQL; scheduling jobs with Autosys; deploying and maintaining Java applications in a Linux environment to ensure availability, security, and performance; developing Linux shell scripts to automate system tasks and streamline operational workflows; utilizing Git for version control; using Bitbucket to build pipelines; implementing OAUTH protocols for authentication and authorization; automating build, test, and deployment processes with Jenkins; integrating JMS with messaging queues and topics; deploying and maintaining cloud-native services; utilizing PACT for consumer-driven contract testing in microservices; incorporating Wire Mock to simulate HTTP-based APIs, creating robust testing environments that mimic live systems; employing Fortify code analyzer to perform static code analysis; integrating Java Spring AOP to modularize cross-cutting concerns; performing API testing with Postman; performance testing in financial services while turning data into actionable insights; and managing projects using JIRA and Confluence.
