• As a Full Stack Java/React Developer
• Data Scientist Lead in the Consumer and Community Banking Operations at JPMorgan Chase, you will be an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will lead critical solutions across multiple technical areas and business functions bridging full-stack engineering with data-driven insights to advance the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and React Micro frontends
• Design and implement cloud-based applications on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS ECS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment using DevOps practices
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and performance-optimized interfaces
• Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to streamline build, test, and deployment processes
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
• Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React Micro frontends, AWS ECS, and DevOps
• Strong experience with database technologies including AWS RDS, Oracle, and Aurora PostgreSQL
• Hands-on data engineering experience with AWS Glue, Spring Batch for ETL pipelines, and Py Spark
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the globe
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects
• Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in working with diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices
• Knowledge of banking operations and data
• Understanding of AI principles with practical experience in incorporating AI-driven solutions into user interfaces
