We are a dedicated team of experienced professionals who work to develop and launch ETFs. We are executing a focused ETF product strategy that spans asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and multi-asset. The ETF business leverages the firm’s numerous competitive advantages, including industry leading research and investment insights.
As an Associate Capital Markets Specialist in the ETF Team, you will report to the APAC ETF Capital Markets Lead based in Hong Kong. You will work closely with the broader global team to ensure we maintain strong relationships with Authorised Participants (APs), Market Makers (MMs) and other key partners, both inside and outside the firm.
Job responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with Market Makers, Authorised Participants and ETF Sales/Trading Desks.
- Educate market participants about new and existing products to promote product suite across the broker dealer community.
- Monitor Bid-Ask Spreads and Premiums across our product line and communicate issues with the Lead Market Makers.
- Act as a conduit between the investment platform and the Authorized Participants to assure a smooth create-redeem process.
- Provide clients and prospects, internal and external client facing salespeople and/or intermediaries with ongoing education, updates, and facts about our investment products.
- Assist clients with ETF trading and provide education about industry practices to achieve best execution.
- Work with broader product teams internally and assist in ETF registrations across APAC.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 3 years of experience in the asset management/financial services industry.
- Bachelor degree in Finance / Economics and related subjects.
- Strong knowledge of ETF mechanics, including the factors that drive ETF pricing, creation/redemption, liquidity and spreads, premiums and discounts, tax efficiency, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Communicate effectively (oral and written) before large audiences as well as one-on-one with clients.
- Multi-asset knowledge including, equities, fixed income, derivatives (futures, swaps, etc.) and FX.
- Understanding of current exchange and market structure environment and the eagerness to stay current on upcoming changes across the key APAC markets.
- Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, Python) and other coding languages etc.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Mandarin/Japanese/Korean language business proficiency beneficial, to interact with clients and stakeholders based in China, Japan or Korea.
- MBA, CFA or equivalent desirable
- Understanding of the ETF ecosystem and active management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability and desire to break down complex problems and create effective solution.
