Job Description
Aa a Vice President on the Director Advisory Services (DAS) team you will play a key role specializing in the Referral (Search) business. Your role centers on connecting current and retired executives with board opportunities, supporting both first-time Directors and experienced board members seeking additional roles. You will drive candidate sourcing for board mandates, strengthen JPMorgan’s presence with public, private, and private pre IPO technology companies, and build relationships internally and externally to support the growth of the business in alignment with strategic GIB VIP clients and breakthrough company targets.
Job Responsibilities

Meet with executives referred by JPMorgan investment bankers, private
-
bankers, current Directors, and partners to understand their board
-
aspirations and to onboard them into DAS.

Identify and curate slates of board candidates for RFPs, primarily for
-
mandates from Equities Capital Markets (ECM).
-
Support Nomination/Governance chairs and CEOs in filling board roles,
-
building the candidate slate and presenting it to the client, in alignment with
-
the JPMorgan banker.

Work closely with the DAS team focused on Director Engagement, as
-
strategic and influential Directors are onboarded into DAS.
-
Build and maintain strong relationships across JPMorgan, especially within
-
the Commercial and Investment Bank, coverage teams, and capital markets
-
(ECM).

Develop and nurture external relationships across the technology
-
ecosystem, including venture capital firms, founders, and other key
-
stakeholders.

Expand JPMorgan’s presence and influence with public, private, and pre-IPO
-
technology companies seeking board talent.

Collaborate with internal teams to identify new opportunities and enhance
-
the referral pipeline.
-
Stay abreast of trends in board composition, governance, and director
-
recruitment, particularly within the technology sector.
-
Provide insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
-
Proven experience in executive search, board advisory, or a related field, ideally with
-
exposure to technology companies.

Strong network within the executive and board community, especially in NAMR.
-
Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Understanding of board governance, director recruitment, and the dynamics of public and private company boards.

Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
