J.P. Morgan’s Subsidiary Banking franchise supports the EMEA subsidiaries of global clients by providing integrated banking solutions and leveraging our extensive global network. Our team in Frankfurt specializes in covering German/Swiss subsidiaries of corporate clients headquartered globally and will work closely with teams covering parent company relationships at their Global Headquarters as well as working closely with product specialists across EMEA to deliver customized financial solutions.
Job Summary
As an Associate, you will own a portfolio of German multinational clients HQ outside of Europe with subsidiaries and operations in Europe and the UK, acting as their primary point of contact. You will serve as a vital link between our German, EMEA, and HQ teams, ensuring seamless client coverage and the effective delivery of J.P. Morgan’s comprehensive suite of products. This role offers significant exposure to cross-border banking, strategic relationship management, and complex financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a defined portfolio of German multinational clients with EMEA subsidiaries, acting as their primary point of contact in Europe and the UK.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Identify new business opportunities, build pipeline, and be the sole responsible for the growth of the client portfolio
- Collaborate with product specialists to deliver integrated financial solutions.
- Ensure thorough understanding and execution of Know Your Customer (KYC) responsibilities and cross-border regulatory requirements.
- Support client onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver best in class client service.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Relevant experience in Treasury Services sales, corporate relationship management, or portfolio management.
- Demonstrated experience in client coverage, with a talent for building and nurturing strong relationships, supporting business growth, contributing to successful transactions, and expanding professional networks both within the firm and externally.
- Broad commercial banking product knowledge and/or experience, such payments. foreign exchange, lending and trade products etc. Knowledge of treasury services products a clear advantage.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, time management and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to details and able to multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
- Demonstrated, consistent professional presence with the ability to adapt to evolving needs and situations.
- Must be fluent in English and German
- Knowledge of EMEA financial and regulatory environments
