As a Portfolio Product Manager at J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, you will help shape how clients build, monitor and understand their portfolios. You will combine product leadership with strong financial modelling to deliver trusted, transparent portfolio capabilities.
As a Portfolio Product Manager at J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, you will own key portfolio experiences and the underlying analytics that power them, from discovery through delivery and iteration.

Job responsibilities
- Own the portfolio product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned to client needs and business outcomes
- Define and build the financial models required to support portfolio features (e.g., allocation logic, rebalancing rules, performance calculations, risk metrics, and fee/cost impacts)
- Translate complex portfolio analytics into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for cross-functional delivery
- Partner with engineering, design, data and risk/compliance stakeholders to deliver portfolio capabilities safely and at scale
- Prioritise work using data, customer insights and commercial impact, making clear trade-offs and decisions
- Deliver new portfolio features through end-to-end execution: discovery, build, testing, launch, and ongoing optimisation
- Measure product performance using defined KPIs and instrumentation, and iterate based on outcomes and feedback
- Communicate plans, progress and decisions effectively to stakeholders at multiple levels, including clear explanations of model assumptions and results
- Ensure portfolio calculations and outputs are consistent, explainable and appropriately governed across channels
- Identify risks and dependencies early and drive mitigations to maintain quality and timelines
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated product management experience delivering digital products end-to-end in fintech, investing, or wealth management
- Proven ability to define, build, validate and maintain financial models used for portfolio-related decisions and/or customer experiences
- Strong understanding of core portfolio concepts (diversification, risk/return, benchmarks, rebalancing, performance measurement)
- Experience translating analytical work into clear requirements for engineering and data teams
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong prioritisation, decision-making and execution skills in a cross-functional environment
- High attention to detail and a quality mindset for calculations, edge cases and data consistency
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience building or product-managing portfolio analytics such as performance attribution, scenario analysis, or risk factor exposure views
- Proficiency in Excel plus at least one analytical language/tool (e.g., Python or R) for modelling and analysis
- Familiarity with retail investing journeys and operational realities (holdings, transactions, pricing/returns data, reporting)
