As the transformation program manager of Platform in Merchant Services, you will partner with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure we have a well-defined Platform Development Life Cycle for the development and commercialization of multiple new capabilities for our clients. In addition to optimizing the delivery of core banking and payments capabilities that our clients leverage today, we have an opportunity to provide adjacent services to these clients in order to deepen relationships, increase client satisfaction, and drive additional customer lifetime value.

As the Platform Transformation Program Manager, you will help ensure the right operating model is in place to drive successful outcomes. For example, you will help to define the right program structure and operating cadence across various teams. In the early phases of this initiative, you will drive a sense of urgency across the platform, solutions and technology teams, help marshal resources from supporting teams to the cause, and drive progress by ensuring follow through of deliverables. You will create a well-defined project plan for operational optimization, prepare status updates for senior leadership, and monitor risk and watch items, escalating for assistance in removing blockers as needed. Next, as a key pre-launch milestone, you will ensure that we meet all required JPMC process requirements for new process launches (e.g., Intake Process Approval). Lastly, post launch, you will create performance monitoring scorecards to track and share the results of initiatives and identify opportunities where further performance optimization efforts may be needed.

Through this role, you will have opportunities to collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-line of business partners including but not limited to product, engineering, marketing, voice of customer, commercialization, and operations across Payment Solutions. You will have regular opportunities to present lifecycle and process updates to senior leadership and showcase your work.

  • Drive clear ownership of deliverables and a sense of urgency across the core team

  • Own the development and publication of key process management artifacts, such as status updates, readiness and key agile metrics, project plans, and performance monitoring scorecards

  • Lead the completion of product development PDLC processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience beyond project management of individual efforts – this role is not a traditional project manager role, but rather the management of a large-scale process optimization effort, targeted to go like through 2026 and 2027

  • Proficiency with project tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, RAID logs, and status templates; Demonstrated process improvement experience

  • 7+ years of optimization management and/or business management experience in the financial services sector, with a dual focus on strategy and execution.

  • A strategic thought leader with a track record of driving change and proven problem-solving leadership.

  • An excellent communicator with strong executive presence and the ability to easily create and deliver clear and concise senior leadership presentations

  • A creative innovator with the ability to define business tradeoffs and value; generate out-of-the-box solutions and cut through ambiguity to drive results.

  • An effective collaborator and engaging communicator with the ability to inspire, influence and align various cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Self-driven and organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute on multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Rigorous, structured thinker with the ability to identify and articulate rationale, assumptions, risks, and solutions.

  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility across lines of business and functions, work well in cross-functional teams, and influence key stakeholders.
