Legal Operations Associate
Position Title: Legal Operations Associate(Global Corporate Governance Support Team)
Team Overview: The Global Corporate Governance Support (GCGS) team provides corporate governance oversight of JPMorgan Chase’s subsidiaries and legal entities. The team ensures that the firm’s subsidiaries adhere to corporate governance obligations, regulatory and legal requirements, and internal policies and procedures. Additionally, GCGS monitors the timely and accurate submission of statutory filings globally. By coordinating with internal and external partners, the team facilitates communication and reporting to uphold the firm's governance standards.
Position Overview: This role is focused on supporting the NAMR, EMEA and/or LATAM region by ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements, as well as managing governance tools and processes. The candidate will collaborate with regional points of contacts and stakeholders, prepare metrics and reporting for senior management, and ensure that statutory filings in the relevant regions are submitted accurately and on time. The candidate will also assist with technology projects to enhance governance processes and operations.
Key Responsibilities:Corporate Governance Oversight

Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and internal policies across NAMR, EMEA and/or LATAM.

Manage and maintain governance tools and processes, offering guidance and training to users.
Regulatory Filings & Statutory Compliance

Oversee the coordination and submission of regulatory filings, such as financial statements, annual returns, and required disclosures across the applicable regions.

Monitor regulatory deadlines, ensure timely submissions by relevant parties, and maintain the team’s application for tracking all filings.

Collaborate with internal teams, including Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Tax, to compile supporting documents for filings as needed.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Act as the primary point of contact on matters related to regulatory filings and corporate governance compliance.

Ensure filings and other corporate governance obligations are completed on time by proactively sending reminders, monitoring deadlines, and following up with stakeholders to prevent overdue submissions.
Reporting & Metrics
- Prepare and deliver periodic reports on filing statuses, compliance metrics, and upcoming deadlines to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence

Partner with technology to automate and streamline reports, processes, and workflows.

Improve data quality by reviewing and remediating data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in law; knowledge of corporate governance is highly desirable.

2–3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, filings, or statutory reporting, preferably within financial services or a multinational corporate environment.

Strong understanding of regulatory environments and knowledge of corporate governance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

Exceptional English-language skills with advanced grammar proficiency and meticulous attention to detail and formatting in written communications.

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with strong skills in Excel formulas and PowerPoint presentation creation, ensuring professional and consistent formatting and design.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and follow up proactively and frequently with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
