Join our Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team, where you’ll help connect technology investments to business outcomes. You’ll partner with leaders across Technology, Finance, Strategy, and the Front Office to drive clarity, accountability, and value.
As a Technology Business Manager in the Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management (F&BM), you serve as a trusted partner to a pillar of the Technology organization. You’ll translate financials into insights, steward budgets and demand, and strengthen our control environment. Your work ensures the right investments are prioritized and delivered, and that senior leaders have clear, timely visibility into performance and risk.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Technology leaders to drive transparency, accountability, and disciplined financial management.
- Lead monthly business reviews covering financial results, risks, issues, and demand management.
- Track and report project roll‑offs, reinvestment, unfunded demand, infrastructure and vendor costs, productivity, forecasting, and business allocations.
- Support workforce and location strategy planning and execution.
- Use and promote standard financial reporting in partnership with Technology Finance leadership.
- Coordinate with Business and Technology stakeholders to deliver on technology delivery roadmaps.
- Prepare and communicate quarterly governance updates on key accomplishments, risks, and issues for senior leadership.
- Document and manage financial risks and opportunities; explain allocations and variances for Technology costs to Front Office businesses.
- Contribute to Business Controls forums and committees, highlighting technology risk, control initiatives, and production stability.
- Analyze current capabilities and identify gaps; streamline tools and processes to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Prioritize needs and investments using relationship insights, competitive positioning, and industry research.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in business management and/or strategy in financial services or a technology organization.
- Strong quantitative and analytical problem‑solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive‑level narratives and storytelling.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives independently with appropriate communication and escalation.
- Stakeholder management skills and a team‑oriented approach in fast‑paced environments.
- High attention to detail, personal integrity, and professional maturity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience supporting technology organizations within a large financial institution.
- Familiarity with technology financials, including cost allocations, forecasting, demand management, and vendor spend.
- Exposure to workforce planning and location strategy.
- Experience preparing materials for senior leadership and quarterly governance forums.
- Knowledge of technology risk and controls and production stability topics.
- Experience optimizing processes and toolsets across multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort using data visualization or reporting tools to standardize and scale insights.
