As a Lead Solutions Analyst for Payments Technology in Australia, New Zealand / APAC, you will lead the forefront of innovative solutions analysis in a dynamic tech environment, driving success through expertise in data analytics and technical program delivery. You will operate at the forefront of innovative solution analysis, technical program delivery, and governance. You will serve as a senior technology leader and trusted partner to the business, bridging Product, Sales, Operations, Client Services, and Technology teams. Your deep understanding of applications, platforms, and Payments Technology will enable you to translate complex business needs into scalable, technically sound solutions while supporting a highly dynamic local business environment.
You will navigate ambiguity, lead through change, and provide strategic insight using strong analytical reasoning, technical fluency, and data-driven decision-making. This role combines hands-on solution leadership with country-level ownership of technology outcomes, ensuring stability, regulatory alignment, and successful expansion of Wholesale Payments capabilities across Australia and New Zealand.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the elicitation, documentation, validation, and ongoing management of business, functional, and data-flow requirements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and technical feasibility
- Model, design, and guide the implementation of end-to-end technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing local, regional, and global platforms
- Drive delivery of critical technology initiatives while supporting and enhancing the existing payments technology landscape
- Oversee and execute projects supporting business expansion in ANZ, managing risks, dependencies, and escalations effectively
- Serve as the senior technology face-off for local business leadership and key external partners, including regulators, partner banks, and vendors
- Accurately interpret business strategy and ensure technology alignment with global and line-of-business objectives
- Apply strong analytical reasoning and technical fluency to evaluate trade-offs, inform design decisions, and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Own local applications as the designated local technology owner, ensuring availability, stability, and operational excellence
- Support day-to-day technology matters for the Payments business, including incident management, change, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure adherence to global project, program, and risk management standards across both Waterfall and Agile delivery models
- Lead changes in a complex, fast-paced environment and program/project members in solution analysis, technical writing, and analytical problem-solving
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 10+ years of proven technology experience delivering complex solutions and managing senior business demand within financial services
- Strong experience in Banking, Payments, and/or related financial services businesses
- Demonstrated expertise in solution analysis, technical program delivery, and end-to-end system design
- Strong understanding of SDLC methods, stakeholder management, budget management, risk management, and operations
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, manage dependencies, and drive outcomes across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences across geographies
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience working within Payments / Transaction Banking technology
- Prior country or regional technology leadership experience
- Familiarity with regulatory-driven technology delivery in the ANZ market
- Experience working across globally distributed technology teams
