As a Vice President in the Banks & Broker Dealers team, you will manage exposure to a client base consisting of North American banks, broker dealers, fintechs, credit unions, and other financial institutions. You will lead due diligence, structure transactions, and evaluate credit requests, demonstrating sound credit judgment and effective risk monitoring. Job responsibilities

  • Manage exposure to a diverse client base, including banks, broker dealers, and fintechs.

  • Lead due diligence, structuring, and evaluation of credit requests.

  • Demonstrate sound credit judgment and effective risk monitoring.

  • Manage daily risk demands and execute transactions for financial institutions.

  • Oversee transaction execution, including client analysis and credit approval.

  • Train, mentor, and manage junior credit officers and analysts.

  • Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with colleagues.

  • Monitor clients and update stakeholders on important developments.

  • Stay informed about the evolving economic and regulatory environment.

  • Provide leadership and input into key projects and process improvements.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 7+ years of credit risk experience within financial services.

  • Credit/Market Risk experience.

  • Knowledge of financial institutions, including banks and broker dealers.

  • Ability to analyze financial statements and accounting.

  • Strong understanding of financial products and market dynamics.

  • Experience with negotiating loan and trading documentation.

  • Experience with credit agreements and markets products documentation.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Advanced knowledge of financial statements and accounting.
