As an Analyst in the Investment Banking coverage team, you will be a key contributor, and on occasion leader, of work streams in the group’s transaction execution, marketing and client coverage initiatives, as well as playing a part in driving the culture, capabilities and overall strategy of the business. We are looking to hire roles within the Real Assets team.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal and client presentations
- Play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with, and supporting, associates as well as assisting more senior bankers
- Strengthen your analytical, modelling, research and writing and presentation skills and demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer of the bank over time
- Be knowledgeable about the global and Australian sectors and its participants and will collaborate closely with colleagues across JP Morgan’s global platform as well as the Australian product groups
- Be highly enthusiastic about J.P. Morgan's mission and be driven and committed to its success
- Work with the broader team of over 100 Analysts and Associates across the APAC region, you will be involved real-time in transactions that may include travel
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 2 years work experience in investment banking / finance related sectors and an awareness of the products and services provided
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution.
- Strong financial modelling skills
- A general understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other product groups
- Proactive, highly motivated, and committed with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively
