As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in the FX Services Technology team within the Macro e Trading group, you will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering innovative technology solutions. You will collaborate with talented colleagues in an agile environment, ensuring our products are secure, stable, and scalable. Your technical leadership will drive critical initiatives across multiple business functions. You will help foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, and respect while advancing your career.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to address complex challenges
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials
- Drive outcomes-oriented probing of applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Proficient in front-end frameworks such as React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building high-performance desktop or web applications
- Experience with test-driven development, modern source control, and continuous integration
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Clear understanding of UX methodologies and a passion for interactive design
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in solution design, software testing, and production support
- Experience in relevant domains, including the financial sector
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma
- Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, or Spring
