As the Data and Analytics Lead Product Manager, you will define and deliver the data and AI/ML strategy for Securities Services. You will work across a matrixed organization, partnering with CIB-wide and firmwide teams to establish a target state data operating model, drive innovation, and deliver tangible business outcomes. This role is ideal for candidates with a proven track record in data and AI/ML strategy, who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about advancing digital and analytics agendas.
Job responsibilities
- Provide strategic thought leadership on developing and delivering data solutions that support business operations, strategic objectives, and advanced analytics, AI/ML.
- Collaborate with senior business and functional leaders, product owners, and analytics leads to identify, define, and prioritize critical data and AI/ML needs, ensuring effective governance and utilization across the business.
- Design and deliver products by integrating data into analytics platforms to support projects such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to enhance data understanding and quality across business areas and functions.
- Direct the creation and implementation of processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks, including protection, retention, storage, use, and quality.
- Oversee data and AI/ML strategy initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, and collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize and execute critical projects.
- Manage and mentor staff, both direct and matrixed; drive teams toward execution milestones and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 15+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in developing and delivering enterprise-scale data and AI/ML strategy.
- Financial services industry domain expertise at large global organizations (sell side or buy side).
- Experience working in highly matrixed structures and hands-on experience with senior management/executive level updates and presentations.
- Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, with strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Deep understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks, and lifecycle management, including data protection, quality, and classification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating complex data concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, effectively conveying complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of regulatory and control landscape and its impact on strategy and delivery.
- Management consulting skillset (impact orientation, business understanding, program management, executive presence).
- Extensive product management experience in data, analytics, and AI/ML.
- Experience in analytics (e.g., SQL or Python) and ability to analyze data to make decisions.
- Deep knowledge of data governance and controls.
- Experience and knowledge of vendor technologies in data and AI/ML (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Cloud, data mesh architecture, data quality, data lineage, data catalog, data transport, document digitization, LLM models, etc).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence applications in a business context.
- Understanding of Hadoop or Public Cloud related technologies and their applications.
- Understanding of application development process.
- Experience in agile methodologies is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.); management consulting experience is preferable but not required.
- MBA or any other advanced degree is a plus, not a requirement.
