The Global Strategic Relationships (GSR) client team is responsible for managing relationships with decision makers and investment research teams of key global and regional intermediary clients, while partnering closely with J.P. Morgan’s client teams and investment teams across the globe. The team plays a pivotal role in finding and growing opportunities for, and in partnership with, J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Intermediary client business to grow the APAC business. We seek a high caliber candidate to perform the following role.

As a Vice President / Associate in the GSR Team, you will drive the growth and strategic engagement with top-tier intermediary clients across APAC. Leverage your expertise in client relationship management, product strategy, and investment solutions to build partnerships, deliver innovative products and initiatives, and represent key regional priorities to clients. Ideal for dynamic professionals with strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and a passion for excellence.

  • Hong Kong or Singapore

Job responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Head of GSR APAC, a regional distribution team that is focused on driving strategic engagement, product initiatives and placements with top-tier intermediary clients

  • Play a crucial role in growing J.P. Morgan’s relationships with senior decision-makers in central wealth management leadership teams and product research teams of key regional intermediary distributors, funds consultants and platforms

  • Leverage strong product expertise to manage and drive product focus and sales with key distribution partners on a regional level

  • Partner with client teams and investment teams globally and in APAC to deliver J.P. Morgan’s capabilities

  • Drive high-priority projects and initiatives, and represent the key regional strategic priorities of the firm

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, in asset management with a focus on client relationship management, strategic client coverage or fund distribution/sales

  • Self-motivated, proactive and driven with strong technical investment knowledge of markets, fund solutions, competitive positioning and relevant regulatory environments

  • Dynamic team player with strong interpersonal skills showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders to meet challenging deadlines

  • Experience in managing relationships both with clients and internal partners across multiple countries and regions to drive to solutions

  • Confident with excellent, pro-active communication and presentation skills

  • Quick learner with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Fluency in verbal and written English

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in mutual fund product management and research are strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
