The Role:
The Advisory Investments Specialist will communicate market strategy and investment knowledge to clients in Germany across asset classes, while providing holistic investment advice within a portfolio context. The Advisory Investments Specialist will consult with clients to determine their advisory portfolio objectives and long term asset allocations.
The job requires the ability to establish credibility internally and externally, to partner with colleagues within our EMEA Private Banking group and build rapport with clients as an advisory investment expert of the firm, leveraging the best in class solutions available to our clients to deliver for their needs, within the context of their suitability and objectives. A high level of professionalism and diligence in meeting client expectations will be essential to increasing the quantity and quality of effective client relationships.
Primary Functions:

Plays a leading role in the advisory investment dialogue with clients:

Understands client's advisory investment plan, goals and objectives to develop and implement advisory investment portfolios

Advises clients on holistic asset allocation, portfolio construction and tactical asset allocation shifts within their advisory relationship

Executes investment solutions across asset classes in client accounts in accordance with client plans and instructions. Such solutions may include: Investment Management, Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, as well as execution of more traditional brokerage transactions.

Conducts investment reviews with clients to validate the clients' current investment objectives and proactively prepare recommendations in line with the advisory platform framework

Deepens client relationships by building a strong advice driven dialogue to introduce the appropriate solutions to our clients that meet their needs and objectives

Manages various business risks by:

Completes all necessary internal trainings and remains up to date on industry Knowledge & Competency requirements

Properly and timely addresses and manages any internal controls (pre and post trade) related to the advisory framework

Effectively manages the fiduciary, suitability and general procedural requirements and reviews required by the firm

Additionally:
-
Understands JPMorgan platform, solutions, investment philosophy

Interacts effectively with the various internal product partners, banking teams, risk and compliance, etc.

Builds and integrates into a strong team culture environment
Qualifications
Having a proven track record of building trust with clients and effectively managing relationships, both externally and internally, will be vital to this role. Possessing a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team, as well as valuing the innovation and creativity that diversity of thought brings, is essential.
- Significant relevant market experience (dealing with UHNW clients or fund management)
- Strong knowledge of investment products with the ability to extend beyond a single product to a multi-product focus
- Asset allocation / multi asset class portfolio and/or sales experience is preferable
- Excellent communication skills - the candidate must be articulate ideas clearly both in writing and verbally. The candidate should be able to establish trust with clients by engaging in credible and informed investment topics
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Personality marked by drive and ambition with demonstrated success in dealing with a wide range of clients
- Superior analytical skills; strong computer skills
- Ability to thrive in an internal culture that points to innovation, customer service, internal partnership and entrepreneurship
- Team player capable of working effectively with many business partners
