Position Title:
Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer
Role Overview:
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Credit Risk Technology team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and enhancement of Credit Risk Reporting platforms, leveraging modern technologies and best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that ensure compliance, support business objectives, and advance our technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, modernize, and upgrade the Credit Risk technology stack using industry-leading tools and methodologies.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient systems with Java or Python.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks to support credit risk reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain web and API services, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
- Analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver features within an Agile development environment.
- Enhance and support existing software applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Provide production support and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technology partners, and SRE teams.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated expertise in Java / Python and SQL**.**
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Proficiency in Java and Python
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience with Databricks
- Web/API development (RESTful services, Angular JS, EXT JS)
- RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred skills
- Experience with AWS and Snowflake
- Familiarity with big data tools (Hadoop, S3, Dremio data lake)
- Knowledge of business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Business Objects, MIDAS)
- Kafka messaging
- Scala, Apache Spark
- Microsoft technology stack (C#, MS SQL Server, SSRS)
- UI frameworks (Angular JS, EXT JS)
