As a Vice President in the Mexico Payments Regulatory Agenda team for JPMorgan Chase, you will manage regulatory obligations for Payments Mexico, oversee and implement regulatory changes, respond to regulatory requests (including exams, audits, and reviews), and promote timely, high‑quality deliverables against tight deadlines. You will coordinate monthly reporting cadences, represent the function in Control Forums and governance committees, and ensure robust documentation, record retention, and operating procedures are maintained and continuously improved.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the end‑to‑end Mexico Payments Regulatory Agenda, ensuring regulatory obligations are identified, mapped to controls, tracked, and met on time and in full.
  • Oversee regulatory projects and change initiatives, coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders (Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Business) from scoping through delivery.
  • Lead responses to regulatory authority requests, including examinations, targeted reviews, and audits; coordinate data/document production, issue management, and meeting preparation.
  • Manage monthly reporting sessions and recurring Control Forums; prepare and review materials; ensure key risks, issues, and actions are clearly articulated and tracked to closure.
  • Draft, review, and submit regulator‑facing documents with rigorous quality control, meeting defined SLAs and internal approval requirements.
  • Track and monitor all regulatory activities, actions, and deliverables against SLAs; escalate capacity or timing risks early with proposed remediation plans.
  • Define and manage target dates for internal milestones, approvals, and regulatory submissions; maintain a central plan of record and status dashboards.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of presentation decks and final documentation packs; enforce document standards and peer reviews.
  • Coordinate extraordinary governance or committee sessions as needed to address urgent matters, emerging risks, or deliverable deadlines.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date Standard Operating Procedures and playbooks; drive continuous improvement in processes, tooling, templates, and controls.
  • Uphold strong record‑retention practices, ensuring evidence is complete, organized, and retrievable per policy.
  • Build and sustain relationships with regional stakeholders and, as appropriate, engage with regulatory authorities in a professional, solution‑oriented manner.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory product development, regulatory affairs, legal or related governance roles within financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex problems and managing multi‑stakeholder regulatory deliverables under tight timelines and formal SLAs.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and supervisory practices in Mexico; experience supporting exams, audits, or reviews.
  • Inquisitive nature with advanced problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to learn the technical and operational aspects of the TS products quickly
  • Team player and capable of building relationships with key business partners
  • Exceptional project and program management skills, with proven ability to structure workplans, manage dependencies, and deliver on schedule.
  • Advanced proficiency with executive‑ready materials (PowerPoint) and data tracking/reporting (Excel or equivalent)
  • Proactive self-starter, takes ownership of initiatives from the start; sees through to completion
  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct interaction experience with Mexico regulators and/or central banks
  • Knowledge of enterprise control frameworks (compliance, operational risk, issue management or data governance).
