An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Business Manager (BM) in JPMorgan Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Technology, supporting the AWM Infrastructure/Cloud and AM Architecture platforms. This role will be influential in driving the Infrastructure & Data agenda at a time when senior leadership focus on Cloud Fin Ops, Data, Architecture and AI has never been greater.

As the Business Manager supporting the AWM Infrastructure/Cloud and Architecture platforms, you will will become a key member of two senior Technology management teams, helping their Chief Technology Officers (CTO) successfully execute their annual strategic and budgetary goals. Technology BMs act as trusted advisors and counterweight to both Technology and Business Product heads, and are responsible for analyzing and communicating actionable insights as well as pro-actively escalating and mitigating risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business or the given year. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in advising senior management and coordinating the deployment of the bank’s Technology resources to address strategic and tactical objectives. This role also comes with opportunity for further expansion of role, responsibilities and visibility with senior leadership.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven guidance to all key stakeholders to achieve necessary business outcomes
  • Support your CTO partner(s) with the delivery of their strategic initiatives
  • Partner with key Technology leads and stakeholders to shape and execute AWM’s continuously evolving Cloud strategy and operating model
  • Lead management and reporting of Financial & Headcount budget, while providing actionable insights to drive informed decisions
  • Assist with coordination of periodic Town Hall, recurring Management meeting agenda & follow-ups, and preparing materials for ad-hoc senior leadership presentations
  • Provide input, support, and enhance management reporting

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 6+ years’ Business Management and/or Financial Services experience, with an understanding of Technology organizations, Cloud/Fin Ops, or other related experience.
  • Inquisitive problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator, with an exceptional ability to synthesize complicated data and translate into simple and effective insights that can connect with audiences across different seniority levels
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a willingness to develop a strong knowledge base
  • Able to work independently, within tight deadlines and able to prioritize workflow
  • Experience managing complex, fast-paced, and multi-faceted projects and flexibility to meet changing requirements and priorities
  • Willing to accept responsibility and is driven to achieve excellence
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Python or Tableau an added plus.
