DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Provide bid and offer levels to market municipal securities. Respond to client selling needs across the maturity curve, locating specific bonds for client buying needs and connect buyers and sellers. Grow the portfolio trading business. Create and redeem ETF equity shares. Work with the ETF Managers to assemble portfolios to agree upon eligible bonds for the ETF. Determine macro hedging strategies including the use of interest rate derivatives. Determine trading instruments for Public Finance to mitigate risk which includes use of derivatives, options, ETF shares and bonds. Conduct detailed pricing analysis on municipal borrowers. Price competitive auctions from sellers and distribute the risk to the investor base. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to various client sites and JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Public Finance Trader, Trading Analyst, Product Control Analyst, Intermediate Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Public Finance Trader, Trading Analyst, Product Control Analyst, Intermediate Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: analyzing fixed income market making and risk management of high yield and investment grade bonds and derivatives involving options strategies and credit default swaps; evaluating and overseeing the risk associated with trading portfolios at both the individual bond level and the broader desk level; aligning risk exposure with strategic goals and risk appetite; identifying trading opportunities across fixed income securities and conduct relative value analysis; using VBA to streamline Excel based processes including creating ETF baskets and tracking intraday change in bond levels; using Bloomberg trading systems including electronic CDX trading, Bloomberg messaging. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: developing hedging strategies; coding using Python, Java or SQL; using Bloomberg treasury future options trading and Bloomberg ETF relative value analysis.

Job Location: 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to various client sites and JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings..

Full-Time. Salary: $200,000 - $200,000 per year.
